During the early development of the video game Stories One, I worked closely with
the team to shape the game’s visual foundations before the first playtests.
I created the logo and its animated version, and developed concept art for one of
the game’s core locations, the buildings for a scientific laboratory, helping define
the atmosphere and visual direction of this open-world.

CONCEPT ART SKETCH AND RESEARCH

The game revolves around a distant scientific laboratory, visible from almost anywhere in the world. Its architecture was designed to express control, secrecy, and technological power in a retro-futuristic setting, inspired by 1980s design and Soviet architectural codes.
FINAL CONCEPT ART BUILDINGS

The project later encountered development difficulties and was eventually taken over by a different studio. Unfortunately, the game’s narrative as significantly simplified after the acquisition.
A reminder of how fragile creative vision can be in an extremely competitive industry.
